My Gift is My Blog

Today's post is a Chanukah gift for my readers.

OK, I guess I mean "reader". It came to my attention earlier this week that one of my associates has never read the Christmas short story "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. Those of you who have read it know that it doesn't have much to do with the Christmas holdiay per se, but is really more about the commercialism of the holiday season, and what it really means to show our gratitude to those we love. Well, it's a dope story nonetheless, dark but sweet, and I don't see any reason why it should be enjoyed exclusively by the gentiles.
