We Aren't the Champions
It's only a matter of time before every NCAA team gets to play in its own bowl game. When that day comes, I and everyone else will most certainly be tuned in to the Pity Bowl, which occurs between the two lowest-ranked teams. The reason why this would be so captivating is that the teams would really have something to play for, namely, not to be considered the single worst team in college football. As opposed to a championship bowl, where teams have everything to win, these teams would have everything to lose. Sure, some people enjoy witnessing the thrill of victory, but as Americans, I think that we are much more fascinated with the agony of defeat.
